Simply put, I'm Craig Harris, a model builder from the age of five and now into my sixth decade of building scale models and dioramas.

Over the years I've built Aurora creature models, Airfix (of course🤣), Sci-Fi and buildings but my overriding passion both on the workbench and off it are aircraft and aviation.

Things that fly and everything and anything associated with it.

​I've built from Bleriot to the modern day and beyond, with the occasional dabble with science fiction.

But the bulk of my work and my undeniable passion lies in World War 2 aviation.

​It's an era that spawned, from necessity, so many unique aircraft, and, terrible as it was, remains fascinating to many people.

As well as building my own models for my own pleasure, I've always taken on commission pieces for people too.

But now, no longer being a driving instructor, I find myself in the position of being able to devote all of my days to building models and dioramas and I decided to see, in 2023, if it could provide an income as well.

Through modelling I've been lucky enough to form friendships with some of the leading aftermarket providers in the field who share my passion too.

I've also been especially privileged to become friends with the Flight Eng. of the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight's Lancaster bomber, PA474, and even more privileged to sit in the pilot's seat of that beautiful lady and looked down upon the other aircraft in the BBMF hanger at Coningsby from on high.​

So that's me - a professional model maker who does it more for the love than the money, but grateful to be able to make a living doing the thing I love.
